People who like science have too much time on their hands. Coming from me, that's saying a lot. Why bother discussing an impossible hypothetical scenario. If the sun "goes out" won't it be cataclysmic in nature, possibly incinerating the planet, or am I off base here? This article discusses what would happen if the sun disappeared.
For the record, I would move to Thermo and live!
