The Great Effington Earthquake

For the past couple of days I have been revisiting Sim City 2000. I created a thriving metropolis named Effington. Yes, Effington, like the Ben Folds song. Things were going along well. That was until the Great Effington Earthquake. A great tectonic demon shook my entire city and burned half of it to the ground. I was powerless against its sheer magnitude. I blame it on a slow Federal response. 20,000 refugees were left homeless and pouring into neighboring communities. It has taken a few years, but slowly I have repaired Effington's infrastructure. To this day, however, an entire section of town remains a wasteland of rubble and shattered dreams. Its burned out buildings a testament to the devastating power of mother nature. Next step? Rebuild on the fault line, of course!
